CHS Old Girls – OGA Present Swim Team Hats

On Tuesday and Wednesday, 4th and 5th February, representatives of the OGA were invited to Junior and Senior Assembly at CHS. We were able to highlight the existing work of the Association, which arranges the annual reunions of our past pupils but also funds the Honours and Colours for the present senior school and provides the plaques for the Head Girl and Deputies each year.

The school was celebrating the achievements of the CHS swimming team and the OGA were happy to have the opportunity to provide a token of our ongoing support for the school and its pupils.

On this occasion we presented the swimming team with the new school swim cap, funded by the OGA, to encourage the swimmers who work hard in training and attend galas in this extremely competitive sport. The cap will help to make the team easily identifiable in the pool and hopefully will add to their team spirits as they represent Coleraine High School.

Following this event, we were delighted to hear that Year 8 pupil, Molly Curry, had been successful at the weekend, winning a bronze medal in the breaststroke at the Irish Schools Minor Championships Finals in Dublin.
